Meet the Team

Sue Dunn O’Connor, B.S.

Sue O’Connor is the President and primary owner of Dental Resource Management. Sue has worked in the dental field in Austin for over 12 years and is well versed in all aspects of practice management, from day to day operations, to completion of comprehensive practice goals. Prior to her work in dentistry, Sue had extensive experience in health care, insurance and was a certified childbirth instructor for 15 years.

Although originally a native of Chicago, Sue has called Austin home since moving here to attend the University of Texas. She has two grown sons and a grown daughter as well as two extraordinary grandsons. She has spent time volunteering in medical/dental mission work in Nicaragua as well as various charity organizations in and around Austin. In her free time you can find her spending time with her kids and grandkids, listening to live music, playing kickball or hiking with her beloved golden retriever Jack.

Malcolm R. Berg, D.M.D., M.B.A.

Malcolm Berg is a partner in Dental Resource Management and is developing a versatile staff of dentists to fill the permanent or temporary needs of the central Texas dental community. He is also well versed in the areas of transitions in the dental office and implementation of systems to improve practice workflow and profitability.

Malcolm Berg is President and CEO of Plum Creek Dental Group.  He began private practice in Luling in 1998 after serving in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps for over twenty years.  He was a highly decorated officer, having served during three armed conflicts.

He and his wife, Debbie, have two sons, Stephen, a U.S. Air Force dentist stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, and Michael, a TCU master’s graduate and CPA staff auditor for KPMG in Ft. Worth. Dr. Berg is very involved with mission work in Nicaragua, but in his spare time he enjoys working out, reading scripture, and playing guitar (real loud).  He is a big University of Texas Longhorns and Chicago Cubs fan.

Catherine DuPree

Catherine has worked in the dental field as a clinical assistant and is very knowledgeable in the organizational functions of a dental office. In her 13 years with Dental Resource Management she has been instrumental in the high quality of customer service that Dental Resource Management is renowned for. By taking the extra time to really know what the specific needs of each practice are, Catherine is always ready to help a client find an ideal temporary or permanent employee. She also has a wealth of knowledge about practice function and is an unfailing source of information and recommendations.

A native to Austin, Catherine enjoys many of the unique experiences Austin has to offer, including the music, foodie and art scene. If it is fun and adventurous you can find her there, hiking Lady Bird Lake is always a favorite. Catherine has a grown daughter and a recent addition to the family with the birth of her adorable grandson.

Janea Escobedo

You will recognize Janea by her friendly smile. Janea has worked in the dental field for over 30 years.  Starting in high school with a vocational program, she has made the dental field her career. Janea starting as clinical assistant, Janea quickly moved to the front desk and then was promoted to dental office manager. She has also worked as facility manager of a dental lab, giving her a broad understanding of the dental field.  With all of that dental expertise, and after many years of experience working with Dental Resource Management as a client, Janea became a valued staff member over 4 years ago. Helpful and energetic, she is always ready to assist you with a solution to your staffing needs.

Janea is very creative and talented, and is always amazing us with her latest project, from quilting to upholstering. Janea in an active volunteer with her church youth group and loves the inspiration kids provide. In her free time she and her husband Sergio, love spending time outdoors, camping and travelling. They are also busy keeping up with all the activities of their 3 children, two dogs and cat.
